Why We Send a Design Proof Before Every Order
Ordering a personalised gift online usually works like this: you upload a photo, cross your fingers, and hope the thing that arrives looks like what you pictured. Sometimes it does. Often the photo is cropped wrong, a name is misspelled, or the colours came out nothing like the screen.
We do it the other way round. Nothing gets made until you've seen it and said yes.
What a design proof actually is
Once you place an order, we message you on WhatsApp and collect exactly what your gift needs — the photo, the name, the date, the spelling. Then we lay it out on the actual product and send you an image of how it will look. That's the proof.
You check it. If the photo needs re-cropping, if you want the name bigger, if the date should read differently — you tell us, and we redo it. Only when you're happy do we start crafting.
Why we bother
Because a personalised gift you weren't sure about isn't a gift, it's a gamble. The proof takes the gamble out. You know before we make it that the lamp will show the right photo, that his name is spelled the way he spells it, that the date is the one that matters.
It also means almost nothing comes back. When you've approved the design yourself, there are no nasty surprises in the box — for you or for whoever you're giving it to.
How to make the most of it
Send us the highest-quality photo you have — a clear, well-lit picture engraves far better than a screenshot. Tell us the occasion, so we know if there's a date to hit. And check the spelling of names carefully when the proof arrives; that's the one thing we can't guess.
That's the whole idea: handcrafted in India, approved by you, before it ships.
